Happy Valentine's Day!

As we have moved all over (see anniversary post) I have come to the realization that holiday traditions are often VERY specific to Central Utah. WHERE did they start? I've gotten some strange looks over the years, explaining some holiday traditions.

Take today for example. In any other city I would have been a little scared or upset this morning. I looked out the kitchen window to see a man in a large coat ... sneaking across the driveway. A few minutes later ... loud BANG BANG BANG on the door ... when I get there, no one is there. We do discover, however, Valentine's treats on the porch. :O)

When I went to the back door to confront this mysterious ( giggle) stranger, who do I find? GRANDPA!!! I love my grandparents! Grandma and Grandpa take such care to celebrate the holidays. Grandpa was sitting back in the car with Grandma - and I was so excited to invite them in. Grandma sat while Daniel read books to her, and Grandpa allowed Logan to 'share' his big chocolate heart with him.

I have to say, we haven't lived anywhere else (that I am aware of) that Valentine's are delivered in a kick-and-run style. It brings back lots of fun memories! (I can't wait to ROLL EASTER EGGS soon.)

Here are pictures of my grandparents from the 4th of July.

I was thinking about "kicking" Valentines the other day and proceeded to Alli about it. Chris thought I was crazy. Those sure were fun times. Oh, must but a "small town" thing, right? ;o)

Hey there. I am sitting at work with Joanna Souza and I was telling her that you are moving to Eagle Mountain and she got really excited because her sister lives in Eagle Mountain and they are going to visit her in a few weeks and they wanted to see you while they are in Utah. She was hoping you would email her.

Thanks,
